She was born in Istanbul in 1970. She completed primary, secondary and high school education in Rize. She graduated from Karadeniz Technical University, Faculty of Medicine in 1992. She worked as a specialist in the same department between 1999-2000 and as an assistant professor between 2000-2004. She became an associate professor in 2004 and gained the academic title of professor in 2009. She has a great number of nationally and
internationally articles, book chapters, and editorial works. She is a member of the Turkish Society of Cardiology and international societies. She is currently working as a professor doctor MD. and head of the Department of Cardiology, KTU Faculty of Medicine.
